Julie Najar - Marco Polo Plaza's Resident Manager
The Marco Polo Plaza Cebu has appointed MS. JULIE C. NAJAR as the hotel’s Resident Manager parallel to her assignment as Human Resource Director, effective January 15, 2009.
Ms. Najar was part of the hotel’s pre-opening team in 2005, primarily managing the Front Office Department, before moving on to oversee the Human Resource Department.
Ms. Najar has been in the hotel and tourism industry for more than 20 years. Her collective experiences in supervising different departments such as Housekeeping, Front Office, Human Resource, Sales and Operations in different hotels & resorts namely Xiamen Plaza, Fontana Resort & Country Club, Hotel Pontefino, Plantation Bay Resort & Spa and more-- paved her way to success as a hotelier. Ms. Najar graduated with a Hotel & Restaurant Management degree in St. Paul College, Quezon City Philippines. Adding to her learning and growth were short courses in Marketing, Pricing Strategies and F & B Operations in Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Just as she embraces this new position, Ms. Najar says, “I am grateful to the owners and the management team for their trust and confidence.
